The Toronto Raptors and the Philadelphia 76ers went head-to-head on Monday night in Toronto for the first time since Game 7 of last year’s semifinals and it felt like a playoff game all night long.
After going back and forth all night long, the Raptors pulled away with the victory by outscoring the Sixers, 20-16, in the final quarter, but it might not have been as close if it wasn’t for a certain Sixers star under-performing in a massive way.
Embiid entered the contest averaging 22.8 points per game, but Toronto managed to hold Joel Embiid to 0 points all night long; making it the first time in his career he was held pointless.
Of course, basketball fans didn’t waste any time pointing out Embiid’s horrid stat line on Twitter.
The Raptors are no joke when it comes to playing in their own end and they proved that on Monday night against one of the best big men in the league.
