It looks like Vince Carter will be back for a record-setting 22nd NBA season next year.

On Thursday afternoon, the 42-year-old was a special guest on Pardon The Interruption and was asked if he had an age in mind that he wanted to play until. After joking around and saying 43 is that age, the 8-time NBA All-Star said that he believes he can give it another year and plans on playing next season if the calls are there.

Carter has gone on record before saying he plans on playing again next season and he’s shown signs over the year that he’s still got what it takes to compete with the best, but now it’s a matter of whether or not a team reaches out to him during the offseason.

One thing’s for sure, a lot of people are thinking about him returning to the Raptors for one final season so he can finish his career where it started, and that speculation is only going to grow after the 2000 NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion rocked throwback Toronto Raptors-themed kicks against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.
