When you think of Will Ferrell you probably imagine that he’s a lot like the characters he’s played in movies such as A Night at the Roxbury, Old School, Anchorman and Elf, but one thing he’s become known for over the years is his love for sports.

From Talladega Nights to Blades of Glory to Semi-Pro, Ferrell has starred in many sports-themed comedies over his career but he’s also been part of real life sporting events as well. He’s appeared at the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings and has interviewed Roger Federer and Wednesday night he was at it again, only this time he stuck to the broadcast booth.

Ahead of Roger Federer’s matchup against Jérémy Chardy at Indian Wells, Ferrell decided to make a surprise visit to the Tennis Channel’s broadcast booth and Jim Courier and Mary Carillo had a tough time keeping a straight face during his visit.

You can’t expect anyone to keep a straight face around Ferrell, especially since you never know what he’s going to say next. He’s one of the best in the game when it comes to ad-libbing so perhaps he’ll consider making a switch to the broadcast booth in the near future. One thing’s for sure, he’d certainly know how to put on a show for the audience.
