Mike McKenna hasn’t even been a member of the Philadelphia Flyers for one full month but he’s already bonding with members of the organization. Considering the Flyers are McKenna’s third NHL stop of the season, he probably wanted to make sure he wasn’t moving again this season before he went and got custom equipment and a new mask designed for his new team.

Last week we shared his new Flyers-themed equipment and earlier this week we showed you his brand new mask, which includes a Gritty tribute, but on Wednesday night he got the final touch added to his awesome new mask.

After sharing images of his new mask online, which Gritty was all for, the 35-year-old reached out to the mascot asking if he’d be willing to sign his new mask for him. Being the team player that Gritty is, he happily accepted and turned McKenna’s dream into reality before the Flyers’ tilt with the Boston Bruins.

Like usual, Gritty didn’t have much to say but he made sure to make a fan’s dream come true.
