The KHL season is only four games deep but it has already provided its fair share of highlights and lowlights.

Ak Bars Kazan and Amur Khabarovsk went head-to-head on Monday night and they made sure to save all the scoring for the third period.

After Vasily Tokranov put Ak Bars up 1-0 with just over 11 minutes left in the game, Pavel Turbin answered right back for Amur 14 seconds later with a goal from the harsh marks in his own end.

That’s easily a candidate for worst goal of the year in the KHL, but luckily for Ak Bars goalie Emil Garipov, his team scored with less than five minutes left in the game to win 2-1.

Former Montreal Canadiens defenceman Andrei Markov got an assist on the game-winning goal to give him five assists in three games with his new team.
