The San Jose Sharks and the Philadelphia Flyers will go head-to-head at the Shark Tank on Saturday night and it just so happens to be San Jose’s annual Star Wars Night.

While most teams tend to wait until warm-ups to get into the theme for the night, the Sharks’ social media team got into things early on in a fantastic way.

From adding Han Solo to their profile picture and tweeting out a message similar to the classic one that starts off each of the films, the Sharks’ team did not let the day go to waste. They even switched up the Philadelphia Flyers’ logo for the night, which now contains everyone’s favourite mascot, Gritty, and gave all of the players on the game day roster their own Star Wars themed names.

The Flyers’ game day roster didn’t get the same makeover from the Sharks’ social team, but starting goalie Martin Jones got his own game day graphic designed for him after it was revealed he’ll be starting Saturday night’s game.

Go big or go home.
