The Washington Capitals are all geared up to defend their franchise’s first Stanley Cup Championship. With a well-balanced team from top to bottom, and a new pedigree as “champs”, a deep run into the playoffs certainly isn’t out of the question.

On Monday, the Caps got their turn at the White House, as all American champions do. With the playoffs right around the corner, a reporter asked Tom Wilson if the White House visit would help motivate the team to another championship.

He capped off his answer with a pretty hilarious call-back.

 

 

Love him or hate him, that’s a good one. Wilson in referring to one of the 1,000 party videos that emerged over the “Summer of Ovi” in which the Caps eccentric Russian captain could be seen swimming in a Washington D.C. fountain.
