Louis Domingue was selected 138th overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Phoenix Coyotes. After splitting time between the ECHL and the AHL from 2012-2015, the Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec native finally got his big break in the middle of the 2014-15 NHL season.

Domingue went on to spend the next two seasons as the team’s backup goalie and it was starting to look like he was in store for a larger workload after the team traded Mike Smith to the Calgary Flames. However, after the Coyotes went out and signed Antti Raanta and traded for Scott Wedgewood, things didn't go as expected for Domingue and he was eventually traded to Tampa Bay.

Now a member of the Lightning, Domingue recently hopped on the Power Play Podcast on the Lightning Radio Network and opened up about how he was mistreated by the Coyotes, which former player helped him get through the tough times, and what he had to do to stay in shape while the team attempted to work out a trade.

The 25-year-old ended up spending a lot of time with Coyotes legend Shane Doan and was finally dealt to the Tampa Bay Lightning on November 14, nearly three weeks after the Coyotes acquired Wedgewood.

Domingue has played one game since joining the Lightning and owns a 1-0 record with Tampa Bay to go with a 2.00 goals against average and a .944 save percentage.
