Michael DiPietro has seen it all this season.

The 19-year-old Amherstburg, Ontario native represented his country in the World Juniors, he was traded from the Windsor Spitfires to the Ottawa 67’s, and he made his NHL debut with the Vancouver Canucks.

Last week, a young girl named Paige from made the trip from Paris, Ontario, to Ottawa with her family in hopes of catching DiPietro in action with his new club. However, that night he didn’t end up making the start so Paige didn’t get a chance to see her favourite play.

Just because Paige didn’t get to see her hero in action it doesn’t mean that she didn’t get the experience of a lifetime during her trip to Ottawa. After finding out that she traveled nearly 600 kilometres to see the game and didn’t even get to see him play, the Canucks prospect reached out to Paige and her family and teamed up with his 67’s teammates for an incredible day.

Paige didn’t get to see DiPietro and the 67’s in OHL action, but she did get to join them on the ice for a day she’ll remember for the rest of her life.
