The CFL season is in full swing as we’ve already witnessed a fair share of highlight reel plays, jaw-dropping catches and plenty more action over the first couple of weeks of the season.

It might just be Week 3 of a long season, but it’s a very important week for the city of Humboldt and those affected by the tragic bus crash this past April involving the Humboldt Broncos hockey team. Not only will the Saskatchewan Roughriders be hosting their official Humboldt Strong game when they play the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday night, but every team playing this week will honour the Broncos hockey team with special decals on their helmets.

The eight teams playing this week will have a Humboldt Strong decal on the back of their helmets, while the Roughriders will also have Humboldt Strong on the bottom of the helmet where the team name usually goes.

The Stampeders and the Redblacks will get the week started on Thursday night, which will be followed by a double-header featuring the Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs. the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the first game and the BC Lions vs. the Edmonton Eskimos in the second one, and the week will conclude on Saturday night in Saskatchewan when the Riders host the Alouettes.
